No. 2007 Prince of Wales is one of the most ambitious railway engineering projects ever undertaken in Britain. When complete, she will be Britain's most powerful steam locomotive, built to haul main line and heritage railway trains for generations to come.
Over £4.5 million has already been raised towards the £6 million required, and major components—including the frames, wheelsets, cylinders, tender, electrical systems and boiler—are already complete or in production. The finish line is now in sight.
But we can only complete this extraordinary locomotive with the continued support of people who share our passion for Britain's railway heritage.
