Saturday 23rd May – Steam Dreams trip Kings Cross to York and return with Tornado and Sir Nigel Gresley
This weekend's tour by Steam Dreams sees Tornado head north from Kings Cross to York as part of double ended tour using two examples of the East Coast's finest motive power. Having had a canter up the ECML, Tornado is relieved at York for the home run by No. 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley. Not since Kylchap fitted A4s started to replace the A1s at Top Shed has such an easy direct comparison of the haulage power of the two classes been possible.
