Tornado made its return to the West Somerset Railway during the successful "Late Summer Weekend" of September 4th and 5th where it "headlined" the event alongside two other giants of steam Great Western Railway 5029 Nunney Castle and Southern Region 34046 Braunton.

Tornado will next see action on September 11th and 12th, during the Campaign for Real Ale's annual Beer Festival at Minehead Station. On Saturday 11th it will head the 10.15, 14.05 and 17.55 trains from Minehead and the 12.30 and 16.05 departures from Bishops Lydeard whilst on Sunday 12th it makes two round trips from Bishops Lydeard leaving there at 10.25 and 14.25 and returning from Minehead at 12.30 and 16.05.

After the Festival Weekend 60163 is in action daily between the 13th and 16th and on the 18th and 19th. On the Monday the 13th and Thursday the 16th it will be at the head of the 11.40 and 15.05 from Bishops Lydeard with departures from Minehead at 13.15 and 17.35. The Tuesday and Wednesday has Tornado beginning its day on the 11.05 from Bishops Lydeard followed by the 13.15 from Minehead, 15.05 from Bishops Lydeard and 17.35 from Minehead.  During the weekend of the 18th and 19th Tornado will start from Bishops Lydeard at 10.25 and 14.25 and from Minehead at 12.20 and 16.05.

West Somerset Railway General Manager Paul Conibeare commented "Despite the general attractions of the late summer weekend including two more "star" steam locomotives and the following for the three vintage diesels it was very clear that Tornado was the biggest draw for most of our visitors. The locomotive may be the best known steam engine in Britain now with the possible exception of Flying Scotsman and we expect to be welcoming many more visitors during the rest of its stay with us.
