The Railway Tavern in High Northgate, Darlington, the world's first railway inn, has recently had a new pub sign painted by renowned railway artist Ted Parker.  The double-sided sign features Tornado leaving Darlington station of one face and Mallard in BR blue on a train of Pullmans on the reverse.  The new sign has only been in place for a few days but has already attracted a lot of attention from the railway press and the museum staff at Darlington and Shildon as well as a team from The A1 Steam Trust!
