Tornado makes a return visit to The Mid Hants Railway as one of the star guest locomotives as part of their annual Autumn Steam Spectacular 25-27 October .
Tornado will join fellow main line Pacific's BR Standard
Britannia and newly restored West Country
Braunton. A fantastic line up of express passenger traction and surely an event not to miss!
Autumn Gala visits
Tornado then travels North to Peterborough and The Nene Valley Railway for their Winter
Tornado Gala 2-3 November. It's another fantastic opportunity to travel behind
Tornado and see the wonderful express blue livery contrast against the seasonal tints.
As we come to the end of the heritage railway Gala season for 2013, these two events help mark another successful year for Tornado in her fifth anniversary year since her historic first moves in front of the world's press on 1st August 2008. Since then Tornado has become one of the busiest steam locomotives on the Network Rail main line, having covered 70,000 miles since her completion at Darlington Locomotive Works.
