Tornado will make a welcome return to the Railway on November 9^th, 10^th, 17^th and 24^th hauling two services out of Kidderminster and two services out of Bridgnorth.  Passengers can ride behind No.60163, hauling the Railway’s appropriate LNER teak set of carriages, for normal fare prices, and book in advance for special reserved seating.

Pre-book your seats in our reserved carriages for a single trip from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster, or Kidderminster to Bridgnorth. Before or after your trip in reserved seats behind Tornado, you travel on any train that day with your 'Freedom of the Line' tickets (including behind Tornado again, but not in the reserved carriages). Your tickets include:

• reserved seats in a historic carriage around a table of four on a single journey from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster, or Kidderminster to Bridgnorth.
• 'Freedom of the Line' ticket to spend the whole day on the Railway, travelling on any train before or after your ride in reserved seats behind Tornado.

Tornado attracted thousands of steam enthusiasts to the railway during its last appearance in 2016 – when it drew the crowds alongside Flying Scotsman. Since that visit, its fame has reached even greater heights following its 100mph test run on the East Coast Main Line in 2017 – the subject of BBC documentary ‘Tornado – The 100mph Steam Engine’ and, for younger fans, its starring role in the Paddington 2 movie, also released in 2017.  Its much-anticipated return to the SVR comes in a significant year for the locomotive itself, marking the 25^th anniversary since its construction began.  For full information and to book contact the Severn Valley Railway.
