We are very disappointed to advise you that the trip on 8th October in support of Help for Heroes has been postponed to 25th February 2012. This has been necessary due to operational issues regarding locomotive 6024 King Edward I in the West Midlands, where Network Rail have said that the locomotive is out of gauge. At present this means the locomotive cannot run through Birmingham.
Although this is considered to be a temporary situation we have no choice but to delay the running of the train until the New Year so that these problems can be overcome. All sponsors of the tour have confirmed their willingness to support the train in February and 6024 King Edward I and 60163 Tornado are both confirmed for the new date and your seats are guaranteed on the train.
