Tornado's support coach, No. 21249, moved from the GCR to Nemesis Rail a few weeks ago for a bogie swap.  Hopefully once the music stops it will be sitting on a pair of newly refurbished bogies!

While waiting for axle box shims to arrive and as a fill in job Nemesis are slowly making their way through the inspection and overhaul of the bogie break gear, so that when assembly of the overhauled bogies does begin it should be a straightforward process.  There are a few brake components missing, mainly the coffin rods and the multi-hole brake adjusting rods, the plan is to remove and use these items from No. 21249’s current bogies rather than having to buy or manufacture new.  The coach was also due a No. 4 exam, but as we are due to change the bogies before it runs again it didn’t make sense to do a full No. 4 exam, so the exam process was adjusted to reflect this.
