The A1 Steam Locomotive Trust is disappointed to announce that Tornado will not be available for the scheduled 'Belmond British Pullman' tour on 31st March 2017.

A significant amount of planned maintenance has been undertaken in recent weeks, and this has included replacement of certain worn parts as part of routine procedures. Unfortunately the delivery of new components has taken slightly longer than expected, the planned maintenance windows have been significantly reduced in recent times due to Tornado undertaking eleven additional mainline charters since 1st August.

Tornado's maintenance will be finished in the next few days and it is anticipated that a proving run will then take place. The locomotive is then scheduled to move to Doncaster Roberts Road Depot wheel lathe ahead of its appearance at the Nene Valley Railway later in April.
