This year marks the 25th anniversary of the launch of the project to build No. 60163 Tornado, the first new main line steam locomotive in Britain since 1960 and the first to be paid for by public subscription.

 

In celebration, we are delighted to invite you to join us on ‘The Silver Jubilee Talisman’ express on Saturday 26th September 2015 from London King’s Cross, Potters Bar and Peterborough to York, Darlington and Newcastle. Passengers disembarking at York also have the option of a trip to the beautiful Castle Howard and those getting off at Darlington a unique guided tour of our Gresley class P2 No. 2007 Prince of Wales under construction. There is also the option to board the train at York for the journey to Newcastle and back. Tornado will be in charge of the train from London King’s Cross to Newcastle and then back to York where modern traction will take over.

 

First Class Dining: Seats at a table for two* or four in a First Class carriage and includes a silver service, full English breakfast on the outward journey and a four course dinner on the return.

First Class Non-Dining: Seats at a table for two* or four in a First Class carriage and includes complimentary teas/coffees and afternoon tea during the return journey.

Standard Class: Seats at a table for four in a heritage carriage and an on-board buffet serving snacks and hot & cold beverages will be available.

 

Tables for Two* in First Class and First Class Dining are available for a supplement of £25 per person.
