The A1 Steam Locomotive Trust is an organisation like no other. From its inception, we have encouraged volunteers to do for the Trust what they do for a living, instilling an air of professionalism across the charity. The Board of Trustees are all volunteers, dedicating their time to the smooth running of this multifaceted business, from fundraising to engineering and operating trains on the main line.

As the Trust's ambitions and scale continues to grow we require, on occassion, to hire paid staff to support the administrative and engineering functions.

Supporter Administrator - Part Time

Supporter Administrator - Part Time

Based around Darlington Locomotive Works, the primarily duties are to create a meaningful and lasting relationship with the Trust's Supporters.

We are looking to recruit an experienced administrator with strong organisational and communication skills.
Experience with CRM systems and database management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Mailchimp.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for building and maintaining relationships with supporters.

Part time : 15 hours - Monday 8:30 to 17:00 and Friday 8:30 to 16:00 

Salary: £12.25 per hour - pay review April 2025

Interviews will be held on the 27th of November 2024

COMPANY SECRETARY

COMPANY SECRETARY

The A1 Steam Locomotive Trust is seeking an experienced Company Secretary. They may wish to be a Trustee of The A1 Steam Locomotive Trust and will report to the Council of the Trust. 

The Company Secretary will be a key advisor to Council on matters of corporate governance and their duties as directors, include dealing with conflicts of interest and managing the interests of supporters and other stakeholders.  They will also oversee statutory maintenance of records and timely submissions of filings to Companies House.
