On Wednesday 26^th March, No. 60163 Tornado undertook a loaded test run as part of its main line tests ahead of passenger trains later this spring. The locomotive ran from Carnforth to Hellifield, Blackburn and Preston before returning to Carnforth. 

We are pleased to report that the test run was been successful and the locomotive is now free to operate commercial traffic. Our certification body Ricardo witnessed the test and is now issuing the relevant paperwork. 

Tornado will move to Shrewsbury next week for ETCS testing before commencing its railtour programme. We will be announcing more details as soon as possible so please look out for updates in the near future.
