We are pleased to report that the welding activity on the boiler of Tornado has been completed and a successful hydraulic test passed to the satisfaction of the inspector.

Final reassembly continues with the cab refitted on Monday 20^th enabling final electrical connections and testing to be undertaken, and the last pipework to be fitted into place.

Road transport for the engine is booked for Thursday 23^rd May to the Great Central Railway where the tender and support coach are already at the Loughborough shed. The engine will be shunted down from Quorn and reunited with the tender to enable running in and ETCS works to begin.
