Tornado takes to the rails when hired to other tour companies

Alongside our own trains, Tornado takes to the rails when hired to other tour companies. You can find a list of these third party tours below, along with links to their respective booking sites. The locomotive earns a hire fee from these trains, but unlike A1 promoted tours, it is the tour companies that retain any profits from ticket sales.

Tornado operates on the national network with West Coast Railways and DB Cargo.

The Trust respectfully requests that anyone wanting to see Tornado follows the rules of the railway and only goes where permitted.

Heritage Railways

For Tornado’s availability and hire fees please contact Graeme Bunker-James at graeme.bunker@a1steam.com . Since Tornado started main line operations she is only available for hire to railways that are connected to Network Rail unless there are exceptional circumstances.
